DBD and AMC TV’s “The Pitch”: Gibson Sound – Hear It.

AMC’s “The Pitch,” Season 2, Episode 6. Early in 2013 DBD spent 10 days (and nights) pouring our hearts and souls into brand development, design and media planning for a pitch to the legendary Nashville company, Gibson Guitars. It all took place – including the pitch to the client – with cameras rolling and mic’s listening. In the end, the effort played out in our favor. DBD won The Pitch. The week’s events were televised in September of 2013. Off camera, we were also fortunate to win the real opportunity to work with Gibson.


Several partners in Nashville helped us put our proposal together. David Bean, shown above, served as photographer, videographer and, in some cases, the on-screen talent.


Joining David Bean and his wife Samantha, were DBD teammates David Wright, Tom Johnson, Katie Peninger, Merissa Tomlinson, Mike Lawrence, Jodie Lynn, Jill Schuler, Phil Mowrey and numerous local Nashville family and friends. The group put together a month’s worth of still shots, video, final retouches, mechanicals and media plans in five days (once a concept was selected) to meet the pitch deadline.
